#6703 in Bethesda

Around March 1957. On the South side of Bethesda Ave. The crew was at Shorty's for lunch.

UPDATE 2/14/19: After posting to the "Bethesda Chevy Chase Back In The Day" Facebook group, a quick answer turns up the location of "Shorty's Hamburger Shoppe". A beloved establishment known for its delicious hamburgers, steaks and jovial, eclectic proprietor, "Shorty" Edwards. The shop was located at 7550 Old Georgetown Rd, Bethesda, MD 20814. Apparently the shop burned down at some point and he moved to Cordell Ave. (Cordell Sandwich Shop?)

Ben, I really doubt they would have hoofed it all the way to Shortys. That would be a 6 or 7 block walk. There were several establishments on Bethesda Ave that I would think the crew would frequent. Al's Sandwich Shop, which later became the Wagon Wheel, was a popular one for Bethesda's Blue Collar Crowd.
