June 15, 2010 The R. Mumford Collection

Mr. Mumford, a Bethesda local, photographed the GB extensively in the 1950s and on. His photographs are a wondeful window into the details of the operations on the branch. He was able to ride-along with the crews and see the railroad from the operator's perspective. The views in this collection show much detail of both the infrastructure to the operations and I know you will enjoy. Mr. Mumford was kind enough to grant me permission to share these photos here.
