Dalecarlia Water Treatment Plant

May 30 1956. Here's the US Army Corps of Engineers Dalecarlia water treatment plant rail facility. Mostly covered hoppers were delivered here, possibly containing granular calcium hypochlorite which is used in pools. Tank car is interesting. The bridge across the Cabin John DCT line is just behind the boxcar. View is looking North.

    Black tank car is a chlorine car. Looks like it has a company name on the side, though I can't make it out. Diamond Chemical (of Edgewere Del) had black tank cars like that.

    Also interesting is the boxcar. I wonder what the facility got in boxcars?
