Apr 6, 1956. View down the Potomac river. The crew would eat lunch and wait for the road crew to arrive from Geo. Jct. at this point. Photographer disembarked the train and hunkered down below a gondola, building a fire from wood scraps and rags while waiting along with the crew for the other train.
