Connecticut Ave. crossing in 1948

A quiet rainy day standing just to the North of the GB crossing at Connecticut Ave. This 1948 South view shows how the road goes from a 2 lane to a 6 lane divided road across the tracks. This was the turning point for the Chevy Chase Lake & Kensington Ry., the old carbarn can been seen in the left center. The buildling in the right center is the old CCL&KRy station & offices.
