Aqueduct Bridge piers, Aug 1962

US Army Corps of Engineers set about demolishing the remaining piers of the old Aqueduct bridge, save for one lone pier (still there today, near the VA shore). This was apparently a "river clearing project" and a "demolition exercise." Capitol Traction building seen in the background, above the boat house.
