    On the lower left - is that a remnant of the 1800's pre Georgetown Branch tracks that connected the canal to river?

    Also - look at all those hoppers in the road!?

    Christopher - I don't believe so. I think those are loading pipes used by the Lone Star cement plant, out of sight to the left. The old trestles used to load vessels on the waterfront would have been long gone by the time this photo was shot, some time in the 1930s, I believe.
