Georgetown Junction and Branch
Looking to the SE, toward Silver Spring, MD, we can see the Branch on the right, the team track yard area in the middle and the Metropolitan Branch to the left. If you look carefully you can see the frog and guard rail for the second team track siding and further up the guard rail for the first team track siding. Looking further in the distance we can see the Talbot Ave. bridge (still standing, closed to vehicular traffic as of Jan 2019), the signals at Geo. Jct. and the 16th St. bridge. As a side note, the location of the 16th St. bridge is about where the GB began before it was truncated after the 1996 crash that occurred at the Junction. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1996_Maryland_train_collision
